The basic structure of the igniter

1. Power supply: composed of battery and generator. When starting, the ignition system is provided with low-voltage electric energy by the battery; After startup, when the generator voltage is higher than the battery voltage, the ignition system is provided with low-voltage power by the generator.

2. Ignition coil: convert the 12V low-voltage electricity provided by the automobile power supply into high-voltage electricity that can break through the electrode gap of the spark plug.

3. Distributor: driven by the camshaft of the generator, turn on and off the primary current of the ignition coil on time to make the ignition coil generate high voltage in time, and transmit the high voltage to the spark plugs of each cylinder according to the ignition sequence; At the same time, it can automatically and artificially adjust the ignition time. The function of the capacitor is to reduce the contact spark of the circuit breaker and increase the secondary voltage of the ignition coil.

4. Ignition switch: controls the on-off of the low-voltage circuit of the ignition system, and controls the start and stop of the generator.

5. Spark plug: high voltage electricity is introduced into the combustion chamber to produce an electric spark to ignite the mixture.

6. Additional resistance short circuit device: short circuit the additional resistance during start-up, increase the primary current of ignition coil and enhance the ignition energy of spark plug during start-up
